Iron lung is a game made by David Szymanski on March 9th, 2022, where you must blindly navigate an ocean of blood to take photographs of key locations, and hope whatever lives below doesn’t find you. While a lot of people have never heard of this game or rather forgot about the game it recently gained popularity after famous Youtuber, Markipliar, made a movie heavily based off of the game. 

 Markipliar had first announced his ongoing production of Iron Lung back in 2023 in one of his videos after his play through of the actual game. Over the next three years he would work with the creator of the original game to write the script and direct the movie. 

Iron lung came out in January, 2026 and was immediately ranked the most watched movie at the time and even breaking the record of the most bloodiest movie for using about 80,000 gallons of fake blood. 

One problem did occur on the weekend Iron Lung was released; it was suddenly removed from box office charts for a bit. When Mark had brought up the issue on his channel. Fans were extremely upset by the box office’s mistake and started racing out to Hollywood regarding the numbers. 

Numbers soon reached out apologizing for their mistake stating“Over the weekend we didn’t receive official estimates for ‘Iron Lung’ from Markaplier. The numbers we posted were industry estimates based on trusted sources. Including reports on deadlines and variety.” – slash films 

Once they had explained their mistake they quickly put Iron Lung back onto their charts making it the number one most watched movie at the time.
