Since 2019, Railbird has been one of the biggest country music festivals in Kentucky. On average, 40,000 people attend from all over the United States. From 2019 to 2021, it was held at the Keeneland Horse racing grounds. Since 2023, it has been held at Red Mile.
Railbird is held every year on the first weekend of June in Lexington, Kentucky. The headliners this year on Saturday the sixth, are The Lumineers, Caamp, Mt.Joy, and Sam Barber. On Sunday the seventh, Tyler Childers, Zach Top, and Ella Langley are headlining. There are 25 other artists playing throughout the weekend as well.
In previous years Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Noah Kahan, Hozier, Red Clay Strays, Elle King, and so many others have performed at Railbird.
Railbird is well known for high-quality food and drinks that are accessible to everyone. They have plenty of food trucks and vendors that include sandwiches, fried chicken, barbecue, and plenty of drink options to choose from. They also have hydration stations which are there to help everyone stay hydrated throughout the summer heat.
Besides food, they also sell merchandise on both ends of the festival. They have everything from t-shirts, hats, stickers, and sweatshirts. Some of these are Railbird Festival Merch and others are merch from the artists performing.
Railbird has been a big hit in Lexington over the years. It seems as though fans are excited for this lineup and are already buying tickets for the 2026 festival.
