
Throughout the 2025-2026 school year there have been many different viral trends. These trends are things that have taken over the internet along with students at HC. The trends range from fashion, to hobbies, to TikTok dances. Every school year has its list of trends and below are this school year’s top trends.
NeeDohs
NeeDohs are stress relieving toy that became popular after going viral on TikTok and Instagram this year for its different shapes and sizes. The typically $5 item became so popular that it began a trend called “NeeDoh Hunting” where influencers documented their search to find the toy. NeeDohs are selling out at almost all stores displaying the rarity of owning one.
Flip flops to school
As summer begins to approach, students have been changing up their wardrobe to adjust to the warmer weather. One of these items include flip flops. Students have begun to wear flip flops to school in excitement for the coming season. They also allow for more convenience when getting dressed in the morning because students can just slip the flip flops on and walk out the door.
Polka dots
Wearing polka dots recently began to become popular because of its timeless, playful look. It makes a plain color look a bit more fun by adding the dots making a pattern. It advances fashion by going away from neutral colors to fun and trendy patterns.
Stickers on TikTok
Recently TikTok users have been using stickers in the comments to show their reactions to certain videos. Making a sticker allows for users to share a personalized reaction to a video or message.
Claw clips
Claw clips have become a go-to hairstyle for girls this year. It arose due to a recurring trend of Y2K fashion. It allows for a low maintenance but still cute hairstyle for girls to put their hair up to go to school. There are many ways to style claw clips and they come in a variety of sizes to accommodate all types of hair.
Octobuddies
This invention allows for users to stick their phone to almost any surface. Only costing around $12, Octobuddies allow for filming the perfect TikTok when there is no good place to prop a phone up. Octobuddies can stick to windows which allows for a good angle and natural lighting.
Owalas
Every school year has its own popular brand of water bottle and this year it is Owalas. Owalas range from $20 to $45 and offer three sizes. The water bottle offers simplistic color designs and two ways to drink what’s inside. They have a straw and an opening behind it to pour out more liquid at one time.

This trend refers to a rap song by Skrilla. It doesn’t have a real meaning, but it has taken over social media and the classroom. Students are repeating “six seven” while moving their hands in an up and down motion. This trend falls under the brainrot category of TikTok which is a term associated with being addicted to online content and absorbing it.
