This past Saturday, policemen in Dallas, Texas responded to Hutchison Convention Center, where the 2025 NCA All-Star National Championship was being held. The cause of the police visit was a possible shooting caused by a fight among parents at the competition. Police later confirmed that there was no active shooter and no shots were fired.
“DPD’s investigation determined that a fight between two people led to multiple poles being knocked down, which caused a loud noise. This noise contributed to panic inside the building, prompting people to rush outside in a stampede, DPD said,” according to WFAA8.
There were no serious injuries, but a few were recorded later the day. People were seen running away from the convention center in fear. Multiple people were also trampled while racing away from the scene.
“No arrests have been made relating to the incident, DPD said in a Monday statement,” according to WFAA8.
DPD could not find any actual evidence of a shooting. No shell casings were found at the convention center.
The competition resumed Sunday morning. After the incident some teams decided not to return and go back home instead.
