Basketball season is kicking off soon. The chances for winning the state tournament are looking good according to Coach Daniel Brown. He’s been with the team for 23 years and one of his best memories with the team was going to the state tournament in 2022.
“Chances are good [that we win state], we feel that [the] first thing is we win the district then we try to win the region,” said Coach Brown. “Then hopefully get a chance to win the state, it’s tough to do, but that’s our goal.”
The chemistry on the team is what will make the championship title possible.
“[The team has] great chemistry,” said Coach Brown.
Although the team has all returning players, there are some challenges that they will have to overcome, including; a new coach, their ability to handle adversity, and the loss of a vital member of the team.
“[Our goal as coaches is to] just to continue to improve and push the kids to not only be their best on the court but off the court [too], and [to] help all my seniors get to college,” said Coach Brown.
The coaches are looking forward to helping their players improve in technical skills as well as team work skills. Let’s show out for our HC Devils and make this a good season.
