With a variety of sushi options, great quality seafood, and an exceptional dining experience, Omakase Sushi and Sake Bar on High Street can’t be overlooked by Japanese cuisine-loving Lexingtonians.
Upon entering the restaurant, guests are greeted by a blend of modern and traditional Japanese interior decoration. It’s obvious that Omakase servers and chefs care about their guests’ dining experience, both in their welcoming service and curation of unique dishes to appeal both the eye and the mouth. From the moment you enter the restaurant to when you leave, you’re treated with hospitality— the restaurant’s customer service was exquisite.
Omakase Sushi and Sake Bar takes great pride in offering fresh, high-quality sushi and sashimi. Omakase’s menu features a variety of varying sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other unique entrees. Guests are even given the option to order the Omakase Set containing Nigiri or Sashimi, which offers a multitude of chef’s-choice sushi. While the Omakase Set Nigiri or Sashimi is on the expensive side, it’s surely a guest favorite. Its one-of-a-kind nigiri or sashimi pieces come with their own different, chef-chosen main ingredients and accompaniments.
In my visit to Omakase, my dining companion and I ordered Aburi Rolls, which feature a shrimp tempura and crab roll plated while on fire— Omakase maintains commitment to amusing dining experiences throughout its entire menu. The unique presentation, taste, and selection of ingredients captivated my interest. My overall dining experience at Omakase was amazing and I know I will return to the restaurant soon.
Aside from the extensive menu, it can be difficult to find an open table at the restaurant, as it doesn’t contain an abundance of seating, so those interested in the dining experience it has to offer should book reservations ahead of time.
Overall, the Omakase Sushi and Sake Bar dining experience surpasses expectations with its unique experience and quality of sushi. Every aspect of the restaurant reflects a dedication to service and excellence. Whether it’s your first time trying sushi or you’re a frequent enjoyer of the dish, Omakase is a new Lexington restaurant I would surely recommend.
