As another new school year begins, so does the busy life of HCs student athletes and enthusiastic student section. Some of HC’s sports playing during the fall season include girls volleyball, golf, football, soccer, and cross country. 

“I am looking forward to putting in the work and winning the state,” HC junior soccer player Will Martin said. 

The HC boys soccer team season goes until mid-September. They have home games on September 13th against Bryan Station, September 18th against Lafayette, and September 20th against Tates Creek. 

“I am excited to have fun with my team and enjoy the season,” HC sophomore soccer player Jordan Loftin said. 

The HC girls soccer team has home games September 7th against Lafayette, September 19th against Scott County, September 26th against George Rogers Clark. 

“I am excited to play with my team,” HC senior volleyball player Maci Farmer said, “and go out with a big bang.” 

The HC girls volleyball team season is through September and October. They have home games on September 13th against Bryan Station, September 22nd against Frederick Douglass, October 4th against George Rogers Clark, October 11 against West Jessamine, and October 12th is senior night against Lexington Christian. 

 “I am looking forward to playing Catholic this season,” HC senior football player Nash Dotson said. 

The HC football team started their season off with a great win against Conner High School. They have home games September 9th against Eastern High School at 7:30, September 16th against Douglass at 6:30, September 30th against Bryan Station at 6:30, October 21st against Tates Creek at 6:30.

“My favorite part about the season is being with my teammates,” HC senior cross country star Caroline O’donnell said. 

The HC cross country season starts bright and early. On September 10th they have Rumble Through the Jungle in Goshen, Ky. September 17th the Capitol View Classic 2022 is in Frankfort. September 24th Berea Community Invention is in Berea. October 1st is the Area 6/Chick-fil-a invitational in Nicholasville. October 11th is the FCPS city meet championship. October 22nd is the Regional Meet and October 29th is the State meet.
