At D4vds most recent concert he was wearing a white button up with bloody hand prints.

D4vd, in July of 2022, released two singles, “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me”, which went viral. They are some of the songs people most commonly think of when they hear his name. In September of 2025, when people hear the name D4vd they no longer think of his song “Romantic Homicide”, but instead a real life homicide investigation he is involved in. 

 On September 8th, officers responded to a call stating that there was a foul odor coming from a car in a tow yard. This vehicle was impounded on September 5th because it was reported as abandoned, which led to a parking ticket, then followed by getting towed.  Los Angeles police then found a body inside of an impounded Tesla in Hollywood. This vehicle, under investigation, was found registered to D4vd. 

The body was identified to be a missing 15 year old girl named Celeste Rivas Hernandez. She had been reported missing and was last seen in April of 2024. According to missing persons posters, Hernandez went missing when she was 13 years old. Her body was found in D4vd’s car a day after her 15th birthday. Officials announced that, based on her remains,she had been dead for an extended period of time. Soon after, a house in Los Angeles where D4vd had previously stayed was searched by police.

Prior to the investigation, D4vd was on the  “Withered World Tour”. Many of the dates have been canceled due to the investigation and allegations against him.

D4vd has not yet shared any statement regarding this investigation. It is unclear exactly where he is now, but according to TMZ, on September 18 and September 22, he transferred the deed of two Texas homes to his mom. A spokesperson for the artist has told NBC that he has been “cooperating with authorities”. 

While D4vd has not spoken out, others close to him have. Friends of the singer believe that Hernandez was his girlfriend. After having seen them together frequently, they thought they were romantically involved. They state to have not known much about her, including the fact that she was underage. Hernandez’s mother has also said that before she had gone missing, she was dating someone named David. 

Hernandez had a tattoo on her right index finger that read “Shhh”. D4vd also has this tattoo as well on his right index finger. This has led many people to assume that the singer does have a connection to Hernandez, although this tattoo is popular, and many others involved in the music industry have it.
