This year, during ACT testing for sophomores and juniors, the ACT TestNav site for sophomores crashed districtwide. In some testing rooms, their test was delayed. In other testing rooms, however, their test wasn’t completed on the assigned ACT day and postponed to a later date.
Another issue that occurred with this year’s ACT testing was that students with a delayed test didn’t get lunch until close to the end of the school day. However, rooms were provided with small snacks.
Students who had to make up their test the following week also faced some issues during their testing. During one of the make-up testing days, the fire alarm went off and students’ exams got delayed again.
The delay in ACT testing caused issues for the students who were, as well as those who were not testing. Schedules had to be adjusted and students had to make up all the work they had missed from testing.
Last year, testing ran much better and all of the students who came to school got their test done without having to take it a week later. Students are hoping that ACT testing will go much smoother when testing next year.
