The school year is coming to an end, which means that the seniors are graduating soon to continue on with their careers. To send off these seniors, Peter Jefferson talks about his impressive work during his time here at HC. In his four years, Jefferson has participated in multiple clubs and sports, ultimately affecting those around him.
Jefferson participated in Model United Nations for four years. He’s been Secretary General for Model UN for two years.
“[My favorite club] is Model UN,” Jefferson said.
Jefferson participated in cross country for three years, math peer tutoring, EAP tutoring, and track for two years, along with the National Honors Society. He’s been the Captain of the Cross Country team for two years, an EAP leader, and President of National Honors Society
Jefferson said being in those leadership positions taught him a lot about how to communicate.
“Engage with people and understand how best to bring new people into things and how to serve people in different parts of the school in different ways,” Jefferson said.
Jefferson applied to the University of Richmond, Tulane University, the University of Kentucky, the University of Louisville, Center College, McAllister College, and Western Kentucky University.
He’s chosen to go to Centre College to major in public health and medical studies and international studies. Jefferson hopes for a career in international aid work. With his departure, HC wishes the best for Jefferson and what he makes of his future.
