The music industry has boomed this year. New and renowned artists have written and recorded music for fans to enjoy. Many of these artists have toured, while continuing to write music. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, Bruce Springsteen, Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS Tour, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s Grand National Tour, and Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour” have all contributed to the music industry’s success this year.
Award-winning singer and songwriter Taylor Swift started the “Eras Tour” in Arizona in March of 2023. The tour highlighted her different albums as different eras of her career, hence the name “Eras Tour.” Over the past two years, Swift has performed 149 shows, lasting three hours each. She has performed in over 50 cities across five continents. Swift started releasing music in 2006 with her debut album “Taylor Swift.” Over the course of her career, she has released 18 albums with over 240 songs in total. She concluded her tour in Vancouver in December of 2024.
Bruce Springsteen started his tour in 2023 and will continue into 2025. He has tour dates listed for Manchester in late March, and will travel back to the US on June 14th for one show in New York. He will then continue his tour in Europe. His most popular songs include “Dancing in the Dark,” “Growin’ Up,” “Tougher than the Rest,” and “4th of July.” His first hit single was “Born to Run” in 1975. It reached number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Singer, songwriter, and actor Olivia Rodrigo has had two major tours in her career. Her “The Sour Tour” highlighted her debut album “Sour” in 2022. The “Guts World Tour” is her most popular tour. “Guts World Tour” began in February, 2024, and is scheduled to end July 1, 2025. It is a world tour with stops in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Brazil. Her most popular songs from “Guts” is “vampire,” “get him back!,” and “bad idea right?”
Kendrick Lamar and SZA have starred on the “Grand National Tour” to support Lamar’s new album “GNX” and SZA’s “Lana reissue.” It started in April, 2025, and is scheduled to end in August, 2025. The tour is stopping in the US and Europe. Their most popular songs together are “All the Stars,” “Luther,” and “Doves In The Wind.”
Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour” started in October of 2024 and is expected to run throughout this year. Eilish started her singing career at age 11, but released her first songs in 2015 with her brother Finneas.
