The HC Blue Devils Boys’ Basketball team finished the 2024–25 season with a strong 20–8 record, showing toughness and consistency throughout the year. Competing in Kentucky’s competitive 11th Region, the team held its own against some of the best programs in the state. Under the leadership of Coach Daniel Brown, the Blue Devils came together as a unit and put together one of their better seasons in recent years.
A big part of the team’s success came from its senior group, who played a key role both on and off the court. Seniors Kayson Brown, Charles Bickel, Kade Hilander, AJ Dixon, Trevor Evans, Hassan Bush, and Noah Jones all contributed to the team’s strong season. Team manager Jaedon Bush was also an important part of the group, supporting the team behind the scenes. The leadership and experience from this senior class helped keep the team focused during big moments.
Throughout the season, HC picked up several impressive wins. One of the highlights was a 75–50 victory over Tates Creek, as well as a 90–60 blowout win against East Jessamine. These games showed just how dangerous the Blue Devils could be when they were clicking. Even in tough match-ups, the team played with heart and stayed competitive from start to finish.
Now, as the seniors graduate, they leave behind a strong example for the underclassmen. Their hard work, commitment, and pride in wearing the HC jersey have helped set the standard for future teams. While their time on the court has come to an end, the impact they made on the program will last beyond just this season.
