HC has been announcing reconstruction for the past few years, but officially decided on starting earlier last year. With the plans and budget in place, HC has started their construction with the trees behind the Softball and Baseball fields.
A majority of the forest behind the baseball and softball fields has been torn down in the past months, starting in early February and continuing through March and possibly April. There has not been much communication between the school and families on the planning of further construction.
HC has been expecting a remodel for the past few years, as HC has been around since 1928. This school, filled with memories, has started causing trouble for the staff and students. These troubles range from power issues to animal infestations.
The construction is supposed to be finished by 2028, the graduation year for the current freshman class. With the transition from six classes a day to the new block scheduling, this leaves reconstruction as the last update.
