On December 17th, HC held an AP Pancake Breakfast in the library from 7:30 to 8:10. Any student in an AP class was able to sign up to be a part of it.
To be able to attend the AP Pancake Breakfast, students had to fill out a sign-up form by December 6th. The sign-up form included the student’s name, what time they were coming, and what teacher the student had for their AP class. The options for times were 7:30, 7:45, 8:00, and 8:10.
The teachers had a wide selection of toppings for students to choose from to put on their pancakes. There were chocolate chips, strawberries, syrup, and whipped cream. They also had sugar-free options for students to eat.
Bananas were set out on the tables to ensure students have a chance to get a more balanced breakfast. Small plastic cups of milk and orange juice were also set out for students to pick up on their way to a table.
The teachers had decorated the library for the AP Pancake Breakfast. The tables were decorated with red and green paper, and the napkins also had blue and yellow ribbons tied to them for a little extra flare.
Freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors were all able to come, and there was no separation between the grades. Many students of different grades sat with each other at the tables. Mostly they sat with people they knew, but many students sat with people they didn’t know and talked to them.
Students didn’t have to pay to participate in the event, making the AP Pancake Breakfast a good way to reward the students for all of their hard work over the past semester.
The teachers were handing out pancakes left and right. The library was filled with AP students eating pancakes and talking amongst themselves. Overall, the AP Pancake Breakfast was a success.
